Our Ministry Team

Krista is the interim pastor of Highland Ave Church of the Brethren, where she gets to be part of the power of community and faith, helping create space for restorative peace and justice in the world. She also serves as a chaplain at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. With over two decades of experience in churches and nonprofits, Krista has a knack for showing up and (hopefully) listening well. She’s a graduate of Bluffton University and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.

At home, Krista is a mom and bonus mom to two teenagers and the wife of Jim, which means life is good. When she isn’t working, you can likely find her diving into a good audiobook, studying a map just for fun, swimming, or striking up a conversation with just about anyone.
